Lightning Protection Studies
Client: BMA Broadmeadow Mine
Cell was invited to complete detailed designs to AS1768 for a new Floxal plant to be used to supply Nitrogen to underground workings. Cell attended the site and documented the structure and associated risks from lightning as per AS1768. As a result, a dedicated earth grid, suitable bonding conductors, and an overhead line lightning protection system were designed. A detailed report with GA drawings, BOM, scopes of work, and testing and commissioning plans was also developed.
