Hazardous Area Design
CLIENT: BMA Broadmeadow Mine
Cell was invited to assess and design the hazardous areas associated with a proposed new Vent fan system on site. The designs needed to comply with AS/NZS 60079 series of standards, particularly with the new AS/NZS 60079.10.1 2022 and CMS&H Act and regulations. The project included an assessment of the proposed mechanical designs and classification of zones in the area. A detailed HA assessment, sources or release table, Zone drawings, and risk assessment were completed as part of this project. The project also included lightning protection and earth grid designs.
