Lightning Protection Engineering Scope
Cell Engineering was engaged to complete detailed Lightning Protection System design activities associated with a new Floxal Nitrogen Plant supporting underground mining operations. The project required detailed engineering review activities aligned with AS1768 standards, including assessment of structural lightning risks, earthing requirements, bonding systems, and overhead line lightning protection infrastructure. Engineering deliverables included detailed reports, general arrangement drawings, bill of materials (BOM), scopes of work, and testing and commissioning plans supporting safe infrastructure operation and long-term system reliability.
Earth Grid and Bonding Design
The Lightning Protection System project included dedicated earth grid design, bonding conductor selection, and electrical infrastructure protection measures associated with the mining facility.
