Client: Ventia

Cell was engaged to assist with delivering a temporary power station on site to aid with the construction and testing of the new oil and gas facility at the Darwin plant. There were two main stages to this project:

  • Stage 1 – 20MW hire Diesel generator power station design and project management assistance.
  • Stage 2 – 30MW hire dual-fuel Gas turbine power station system.

Cell was directly responsible for the modelling of the new systems, including fault, load flow, protection, and arc flash. We also provided dynamic modelling for simulation of how the plant would react to system faults and load shedding when integrated into the existing facility power station.
Cell completed earthing designs, including lightning protection analysis and step and touch analysis.
Cell assisted the project management team with the successful installation of the new Stage 1 plant within an 8-week window.
